On June 17, NEWSEN reported that Rosé will be signing an exclusive contract with THEBLACKLABEL founded by producer Teddy.
In response to the report, THEBLACKLABEL briefly stated, “We are currently discussing signing [an exclusive] contract with Rosé.”
Teddy produced many of BLACKPINK’s hit songs since the girl group’s debut single “Square One.” THEBLACKLABEL is currently home to many artists including BIGBANG’s Taeyang, Jeon Somi, and Zion.T as well as actors Park Bo Gum and Lee Jong Won.
Last year, YG Entertainment announced that BLACKPINK would not be renewing their individual contracts for solo activities. Despite breaking out on their own, Rosé and the other BLACKPINK members all renewed their contracts with YG Entertainment for group activities.
