When coming up with a good artist name, some of you might have tried using online name generators, but may not have ended up with any favorable results.
You might have even brainstormed and tried putting together a lot of different ideas as well. But you would have soon realized that it's actually very difficult to come up with a good name that not only sounds but look nice, while also making sense at the same time.
Some K-Pop idol groups have had some very strange group names that might have ended up becoming official. Fortunately, the group names have been changed before their official debut.

When we hear "BLACKPINK!" being yelled in every one of their songs, we should be thankful for that when they're not yelling "Pink Punk!" instead. Pink Punk was a name that might have ended up being the girl group's official name, but it changed before their debut.
MAMAMOO
This one will crack you up. MAMAMOO almost debuted under the group name "Wah Wah Girls'.
Be Glad These Idol Groups Didn’t Debut With Their Original Group Names
EXO
EXO is such a great group name, right? Well, you'll be shocked to learn that they almost might have been called Boys' Paradise.
BIGBANG
BIGBANG almost being officially debuted under the group name DIAMOND.
SISTAR
SISTAR's original group name was not the best idea. In fact, it might have caused quite a lot of problems for both fans and the agency. It's a good thing they stuck to SISTAR and not DIRIDIRI DARADARA DURUDURU BOP.
First of all, it's just too long.
SHINee
Another hilarious original idea. Instead of SHINee, they almost might have been called, "The Kiddies". Really fortunate that someone intervened and made sure that did not happen.
