Artists Postpone Promotions During National Mourning For The Itaewon Tragedy

Korean entertainment is also partaking in the national mourning following the heartbreaking tragedy this past weekend.

Many television shows have been canceled, and scheduled promotions have been postponed.

SM Entertainment announced on October 30, "The release date of EXO member Chen's third mini-album 'Last Scene' which was scheduled for October 31, has been temporarily postponed. We have made the decision following the tragedy that happened in Itaewon. We ask the fans who have been waiting for the album for your understanding."

Additionally, SM Entertainment canceled all the Halloween party events that were scheduled with the label artists.

Yong Jun Hyung's entertainment agency also announced the release of his comeback mini-album 'LONER' will also be delayed. Yong Jun Hyung was returning to the music industry for the first time in three years since the scandal back in 2019.

Taewon Entertainment also announced the release of the new album for IRRIS will be delayed. DRIPPIN and ICHILLIN will also announce the postponement of their promotions.

KM Entertainment also stated, "We would like to announce the release of ICHILLIN's 3rd digital single 'Draw (MY TIME)' will be postponed. We have also decided to delay the promotional content following the album release. We ask fans for their understanding and we will make another announcement of the new schedule in the near future."

ATEEZ also took the time of mourning for the Itaewon tragedy before their 2022 world tour 'THE FELLOWSHIP: BREAK THE WALL.'

Dream Catcher held their concert on October 30 as planned but removed the word 'Halloween' from their concert title.

HYBE also postponed its community briefing that was scheduled for November 4.

Kim Jaejoong was also scheduled to perform on the second day of Nagoya's '2022 Jaejoong Live Tour - Fallinbow!' at the Aichi Sky Expo in Nagoya, Japan, on the afternoon of October 30, but the performance was canceled after hearing the news of the Itaewon disaster. C-JeS Entertainment said, "We have decided to cancel the Nagoya concert at the request of Jaejoong Kim two hours before the concert."
