When we talk about K-Pop, people often only think it's only those in groups and tend to overlook soloists.

There are times when a group member does solo projects, like Key from SHINee, soloists who started out solo, like IU, and there are also those who go solo after the disbandment of a group, like Chungha. Here are some soloists that you should consider adding to your playlist.

Junny

If you're a fan of Dive Studios' Get Real series, yes, we are talking about the same Junny. Before releasing his very own full album, this Korean-Canadian singer-songwriter is known for writing songs for some of the biggest names in K-Pop, such as EXO's Baekhyun, NCT, SHINee, The Boyz, and IU. Just as good as he is writing for others, his songs are just as amazing, especially when accompanied by his beautiful vocals.

WOODZ

This all-rounder artist can do it all, from dancing, singing, rapping, and even composing his own songs. His discography has a wide range of styles; you would totally be blown away by his versatile creativity and talent. His unique voice sets him apart from other artists, and you would be able to easily tell that it is him.

Demian

Debuted in March 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, DEMIAN, who has a whispery speaking voice, makes music that is as toned-down as that, and it's absolutely honey-like; you would just melt. This recent Business School graduate from Korea University does not have any albums out yet, but he does have five singles that you can have on repeat.

Lee Hi

Lee Hi is known for having such mesmerizing vocals and the ability to express her feelings through words. Her songs are always so heartfelt and angelic; it soothes anyone listening to them.

Sam Kim

Sam Kim is a Korean-American singer-songwriter who debuted back in 2016 and is known for his buttery vocal colors, very raw, smooth, and soulful. He also produces songs for artists like IU and GRAY and often lends his voice to notable K-dramas, such as Guardian: The Lonely And Great God (Goblin) and Nevertheless.

BIBI

With her unique and versatile voice, it's no surprise she was featured in the soundtrack of Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and performed at 88rising’s Head In The Clouds music festival. BIBI has such an enticing aura and her own color; you can hear it in her songs.

An underrated talent in the rapper world, pH-1 is one of the most talented artists in the industry. Despite being a rapper, he also has good vocals, and he produces his own high-quality music, leaving fans always so satisfied with every new release.

Jamie

If you only know her as the host of After School Club for eight years, it's high time you know that she is more than that. Jamie has such strong vocals that would give you goosebumps. Her power, sass, and talent will want you to keep coming back for more.

Seori

Another underrated talent, Seori, has such a unique, feather-like soft, and comforting voice that deserves more recognition. Any song she releases is like a gift every time.
