1. Red Velvet's Seulgi

The first idol on the list is Seulgi!
Kang Seul-gi (Korean: 강슬기; born February 10, 1994), known mononymously as Seulgi, is a South Korean singer and dancer. She is a member of South Korean girl group Red Velvet and its sub-unit Red Velvet - Irene & Seulgi.
Kang Seul-gi was born on February 10, 1994, in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Her family consists of her parents and an older brother.[citation needed] She studied in Ansan Byeolmang Middle School and attended School of Performing Arts Seoul. She can speak both Korean and Japanese.[2]
Kang began training in SM Entertainment in 2007. On December 2, 2013, she was one of the first three trainees introduced to the public through SM Entertainment's pre-debut project, SM Rookies, alongside now-NCT members Jeno and Taeyong.[3][4] Various pre-debut clips of Seulgi were released by SM, one of which was a dance performance with Irene covering ‘Be Natural’, a song that was sung originally by S.E.S.[5] In July 2014, she was featured in Henry Lau's song "Butterfly" from his second EP Fantastic. She also appeared in the music video of the single "Fantastic".[6]
On August 1, 2014, Kang made her official debut as a member of Red Velvet.[7]
The Red Velvet member is known for her duality, and her pretty eye shape helps with that. In one moment, her eyes are little moons that show themselves when she smiles, while in another moment, her gaze is piercing. How captivating!
2. Oh My Girl's Arin

Arin has been gaining more and more fame due to her stunning visuals, with many agreeing that her eyes are the main point of her face. Due to her beauty (plus her extreme kindness and grace!), she is often called "Princess Arin."
Choi Ye-won (born June 18, 1999),[1] better known as the stage name Arin, is a South Korean singer and actress. She is a member of the girl group Oh My Girl[2] and currently is a MC on the South Korean TV show Music Bank, along with Tomorrow X Together's leader, Choi Soobin.
2015–2019: Debut with Oh My Girl and other activities

On April 20, 2015, Arin debuted as a member of Oh My Girl. She first performed their debut single on SBS MTV's The Show on April 21. On April 2, 2018, Arin debuted in Oh My Girl's first sub-unit, Oh My Girl Banhana.On September 7, 2019, it was announced that Arin would be appearing on XtvN's The Ultimate Watchlist 2.[8] In August 2019, it was confirmed that Arin would be taking part in Queendom.
2020–present: Solo activities
In early 2020, Arin starred in the South Korean drama, The World of My 17 as Oh Na-ri, alongside Doah of Fanatics.[10] In July 2020, Arin became an MC of Music Bank with Soobin of TXT.
Arin is a model for the South Korean Clothes company, 'BYC'.
In March 2021, it was announced that Arin would appear in the Netflix series Goedam 2.
3. Lovelyz's Yein

Though Yein has monolids, she is known for having blue, doe-like eyes. Because of this, Yein has earned the nickname "Deer" or "Elk." The idol is definitely full of unique charms!
Lovelyz (Korean: 러블리즈) is a South Korean girl group formed in 2014 by Woollim Entertainment and is the company's first girl group. The group consists of eight members: Baby Soul, Jiae, Jisoo, Mijoo, Kei, Jin, Sujeong and Yein. Their debut album, Girls' Invasion, was released on November 17, 2014.[1]
2014: Debut with Girls' Invasion[edit]
Lovelyz's debut was first announced on November 5, 2014 by Woolim Entertainment.[2] Lovelyz released a pre-release digital single, "Good Night Like Yesterday", on November 5, 2014. Their debut showcase was held on November 12 at the K-ART Hall in Olympic Park, and their debut stage was on the next day on Mnet M Countdown.[3] The group's debut studio album Girls' Invasion was officially released on November 17, along with its lead single titled "Candy Jelly Love".[4] The album ranked ninth on Taiwan's Five Music Korea-Japan weekly chart and first on Japan's Tower Records albums chart.[citation needed] Prior to debut, member Jisoo withdrew from the group's debut promotions due to personal reasons.[5]
On December 21, the group took part in the annual music festival SBS Gayo Daejeon for the festival's segment Strong Babies, featuring newly debuted K-pop groups Red Velvet, Winner, and Got7, where they performed Maroon 5's "Moves like Jagger". Lovelyz also performed their debut lead single "Candy Jelly Love".[citation needed]
2015: Hi~, Lovelyz8 and Lovelinus[edit]
Lovelyz released a repackage edition of Girls' Invasion titled Hi~ on March 3. It contains all nine tracks from the debut album, along with two new singles including a title track.[6] They made a comeback stage on March 5, performing "Hi~" and "Amusement Park" on music program M Countdown.[citation needed] On April 17, Lovelyz started promoting the other new song from their repackaged album, "Amusement Park", on music programs.[7] They continued the promotions until April 30. On April 22, Lovelyz participated in the KCON 2015 Japan M Countdown show for 15,000 attendees, their first overseas activity.[8] On May 23, the group performed at the Dream Concert, which was held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.[9]
On August 27, Lovelyz performed at the Korea Brand and Entertainment Expo in Shanghai, along with labelmate Infinite.[citation needed] On the same day, Woollim Entertainment announced that Jisoo would be rejoining the group, and revealed the title of their first extended play (EP), Lovelyz8, through the group's official Twitter page.[10] A pre-release single titled "Shooting Star" was released on September 14, along with its music video. The EP was officially released on October 1, 2015. It contains seven tracks including the pre-release single "Shooting Star", and a lead single titled "Ah-Choo".[1] The lead single's music video was released on the same day, with cameo appearance by Infinite's Hoya.[citation needed]
On October 31, Lovelyz was a guest on You Hee-yeol's Sketchbook where they performed an a cappella cover of Michael Jackson's song "Beat It". The performance gained attention online, and was broadcast on the American Fox News Channel. It was also written about by other foreign media.[11][12][13] "Ah-Choo" had maintained its position on most major Korean music charts throughout 2015 and early-2016, making it Lovelyz's biggest hit.[14] On November 26, Lovelyz received their first-ever award at the 23rd Korea Culture & Entertainment Awards for the "K-pop Top 10 Artists" category.[15]
Lovelyz held their first fan-meeting and mini-concert, Lovely Day, on December 5 at Ax Korea. The tickets were sold out in the first five minutes after they went on sale.[16] On December 7, Lovelyz released a three-track single album titled Lovelinus, named after their official fan club. They also released a music video for the album's lead single, "For You", on the same day.[17]
2016–2017: A New Trilogy, First Concert, R U Ready? and Fall in Lovelyz[edit]
The group's first reality show Lovelyz in Wonderland began airing February 2 on SBS MTV for eight episodes.[citation needed] Their song "Ah-Choo" continued to remain in digital Korean music charts, long after its release on September 14, 2015.[18]
Lovelyz released their second EP, A New Trilogy on April 25, 2016. The album contains seven tracks, including the lead single titled "Destiny".[citation needed] The song debuted at number seven on the Gaon Digital Chart, making it their highest charting song thus far.[19] "Destiny" also received attention from American producer Brent Fischer who praised the lead single for its "world-class grooves and current arrangements".[20]
In November 2016, Lovelyz announced their first solo concert titled Lovelyz in Winterland at the Blue Square Samsung Card Hall from January 13–15, 2017.[21] During the concert, Lovelyz revealed that they would make a comeback in February.
Woollim Entertainment announced that Lovelyz was set to release their second studio album R U Ready? on February 26, with "WoW!" as the lead single.[22] However, in the early morning hours of February 27, the song was removed from Melon's real-time chart due to a technical glitch. Melon later admitted to the glitch and apologized.[23] Woollim Entertainment revealed that Yein had injured her ankle during practice for comeback, and later confirmed that Yein would not be participating in the comeback due to her injury on March 2.[24] Few weeks later, on March 23, Yein re-joined the promotions by performing at music program M Countdown for first time since recovering from the injury.[25]
Following the release of their second studio album, they made a speedy comeback with their second repackaged album titled Now, We on May 2, with the lead single of the same name. The album topped the Gaon Album Chart upon its release.[26] They also won their first-ever music program win since debut on May 16, through SBS MTV's The Show.[27]
Lovelyz held their second solo concert, Lovelyz 2017 Summer Concert [Alwayz], at Olympic Park, Olympic Hall on July 29 and 30.[28] The tickets for the concert were sold-out within five minutes of its release.[29]
On November 14, 2017, Lovelyz made their comeback with their third EP, Fall in Lovelyz, with the lead single "Twinkle".[30] The group promoted the song on various South Korean music programs, and received their first win for "Twinkle" on November 28 on The Show.[31]
2018–2019: Heal, Sanctuary, and Once Upon a Time[edit]
Lovelyz held their third solo concert, Lovelyz in Winterland 2, at the Blue Square Samsung Card Hall from February 2–4, 2018.[32][33] The concert was also held in Tokyo and Osaka on February 10 and February 12 respectively.[34][35]
On April 10, Woollim Entertainment announced that Lovelyz would release their fourth EP titled Heal on April 23.[36] The EP consists of six tracks, including the lead single "That Day", composed by Sweetune.[37] Lovelyz held their comeback showcase at Blue Square iMarket Hall on the same day as the album's release, and was broadcast live through the Naver app V-Live.[38] Lovelyz earned their first music show win for "That Day" on SBS MTV's The Show on May 1.[39]
In June 2018, Lovelyz released their special digital single titled "Wag-Zak". Jin did not take part in the promotions due to health issues.[40] Lovelyz performed "Wag-Zak" for the first time at Mnet's M Countdown on June 28,[41] followed by promoting in the various music programs for a week. Their digital single "Wag-Zak", complemented by a music video, was officially released on July 1, which marked the group's first summer release.[42]
Lovelyz released their first compilation album, Muse on Music, on September 11. The album contains the instrumental version of 33 tracks selected from their eight released records. It is also the first time a K-pop girl group released such album.[43][44]
Lovelyz released their fifth EP, Sanctuary, with the lead single "Lost N Found", on November 26, 2018.[45] In January 2019, they promoted the single "Rewind" as the follow-up single of the EP Sanctuary.[46]
On May 20, 2019, they released their sixth EP Once Upon a Time with the lead single "Beautiful Days".[47] In August 2019, the group joined the cast of a television program Queendom.[48]
2020: Unforgettable[edit]
Lovelyz released their seventh EP Unforgettable on September 1, along with the lead single "Obliviate".[49] The group clinched their first win for "Obliviate" on the September 8 episode of SBS MTV's The Show. [50]
4. Weki Meki's Choi Yoojung

Yoojung is known for using her eyes to express herself on stage. Depending on the song, she can look cute and innocent or intense and tough. She has also earned the nickname "Wink Fairy" due to her habit of winking on stage!
Choi Yoo-jung (Korean: 최유정; Hanja: 磪有情; born November 12, 1999), better known by the mononym Yoojung, is a South Korean singer, rapper, actress, and songwriter signed under Fantagio. She debuted as member of I.O.I in May 2016 after achieving third place in the 2016 survival program Produce 101. In January 2017, I.O.I officially disbanded after eleven months of promotion. Following disbandment, she returned to her respective agency and eventually debuted with Weki Meki in August 2017.
2016: Produce 101 and I.O.I[edit]

In January 2016, Choi joined Produce 101 along with Kim Do-yeon and three other Fantagio trainees with the hopes of debuting in an eleven-member girl group which would promote for a year under YMC Entertainment.[8] Choi initially gained popularity for being chosen by vote as the center for the show's theme song "Pick Me", which had its music video premiere a month before the first show aired on the December 17, 2015 episode of M Countdown.[9] Both Choi and Kim rose to high ranks during the program and eventually placed 3rd and 8th respectively in the show's finale on April 1, 2016, which allowed them to debut as members of I.O.I.[10] On May 4, 2016, I.O.I released their debut single "Dream Girls" which had its rap parts penned by Choi and Im Na-young. Both members also wrote the lyrics for the EP's intro track "I.O.I". The group also promoted as a seven-member unit which Choi was also a part of with Kim, releasing the single "Whatta Man" on August 9, 2016.[11][12] As part of I.O.I, Choi also released an OST with the unit and also collaborated with fellow members Chungha, Jeon Somi and fellow Produce 101 contestant Ki Hui-hyeon for the digital single "Flower, Wind and You".[13] The song charted at number 42 on the Gaon Digital Chart.[14] She also appeared in the music video of her label-mate ASTRO's song "Breathless" which was released on July 1, 2016.[15] In November 2016, Choi joined the cast of Mnet's music variety show Golden Tambourine.[16] She then released the single "Rise and Fall" together with Yoo Se-yoon, Shim Hyung-tak and Jo Kwon as part of the show's official soundtrack.
2017–2019: Weki Meki and WJMK[edit]

After I.O.I parted ways on January 29, 2017 and ended their contract with YMC Entertainment,[17] Choi and Kim Do-yeon filmed a reality show in the United States titled Dodaeng's Diary in LA which aired on TVING.[18] Months later, Fantagio announced their plans to debut a new girl group, which they later revealed would be called Weki Meki. Both Choi and Kim made their official debut with the group on August 8, 2017 with the release of the single "I Don't Like Your Girlfriend" and the six-track EP Weme which had some of its lyrics written by Choi.[19][20]
On May 2, 2018, Starship Entertainment and Fantagio revealed their plans to form a special four-member unit with members of their respective girl groups Cosmic Girls and Weki Meki, which they eventually revealed will be called WJMK. Weki Meki's Choi and Kim and Cosmic Girls' Seola and Luda released the single "Strong" on June 1, 2018, along with its accompanying music video.[21][22] On August 8, she joined the JTBC reality program Secret Unnie with EXID's Hani.[23]
Choi was part of My Mad Beauty 3 alongside Park Na-rae, Mijoo and Han Hye-jin.[24] She was also part of the variety show The Gashinas. In September 2019, Choi participated in the survival program show, V-1, to select the Vocal Queen among the various girl group members, where only the top twelve girl group members in votes would progress and perform on the show.[25][26] However, she was eliminated in the first episode, after losing out to bandmate Suyeon.
2020–present: First main role[edit]
Choi is set to star in the web drama Cast: Age of Insiders in 2020.[27]
On May 4, 2021, Choi and the members of I.O.I celebrated their 5th debut anniversary with a reunion live stream show called "Yes, I Love It!"[28].
5. ITZY's Yeji

Yeji joined SBS' reality competition television series, The Fan, but was eliminated in episode 5.

On January 20 of 2019 she was revealed as the leader of ITZY, JYP Entertainment's newest girl group.
6. Kang Mina

Kang Mina is another cutie with monolid eyes! The former I.O.i and gugudan member is known for her refreshing smile. When she smiles, her eyes turn into little crescents — her eyes are beaming with her!
Kang Mi-na (Korean: 강미나; Hanja: 康美娜; born December 4, 1999), better known by the mononym Mina, is a South Korean singer and actress. She is best known for finishing ninth in Mnet's K-pop girl group survival show Produce 101. She is a former member of the girl group I.O.I, Gugudan, as well as its subgroups 5959 and SeMiNa.[4] She is also best known for her roles in the television series Dokgo Rewind (2018), Hotel Del Luna (2019) and Summer Guys (2021).
2016–2017: Produce 101, I.O.I and Gugudan[edit]

In January 2016, Kang Mina together with fellow trainees Kim Na-young and Kim Se-jeong, represented Jellyfish Entertainment on reality girl group survival show Produce 101 for the chance to debut in a Mnet girl group.
The program came to an end on April 1, 2016, and the final line-up of South Korean girl group I.O.I was announced, made up of the top 11 poll-winners. Kang finished ninth overall, with 173,762 votes, becoming an official member of the girl group.[6]
On June 10, 2016, YMC Entertainment revealed that Kang would not be taking part in I.O.I's unit promotions, but would instead return to her agency to debut and promote with upcoming South Korean girl group, Gugudan.[7]
In July 2017, a Gugudan subgroup named Gugudan 5959 was formed with Kang and fellow member Hye-yeon. They debuted with the single "Ice Chu" on August 10, 2017.[8]
In June 2018, a Gugudan subgroup named Gugudan Semina was formed with Kang and members Sejeong and Nayoung. They debuted with the release of their self-titled single album on July 10, 2018.[9]
2018–present: Acting career[edit]
Kang made her acting debut in the MBC romantic comedy series Children of the 20th Century in 2017, acting as the younger counterpart of Han Ye-seul.[10] The same year, she played her first lead role in the 2-episode tvN drama History of Walking Upright.[11]
In 2018, Kang began hosting the music program Show! Music Core.[12] She then starred in the action web film Dokgo Rewind alongside Sehun of Exo,[13] and played a supporting role in tvN's fantasy romance drama Tale of Fairy.[14]
In March 2019, Kang was confirmed as part of the cast for Law of the Jungle in Thailand.[15] In April 2019, Kang was cast in tvN drama Hotel Del Luna as Kim Yuna.[16] Kang was cast in the web drama Summer Guys aired on March 30, 2021.[17]
7. TWICE's Dahyun

TWICE's dubu Dahyun is another JYP Entertainment idol famous for her monolid eyes.
Dahyun is the only member of TWICE with monolids, which allows her to stand out in the nine-member girl group. She has a look that you cannot help but fall in love with!
Da-hyun (Korean: 김다현; born May 28, 1998), known mononymously as Dahyun (Korean: 다현), is a South Korean singer and rapper. She is a member of the South Korean girl group Twice formed by JYP Entertainment.
Dahyun was born in Seongnam, Gyeonggi, on May 28, 1998.[1][2][3] She grew up with her parents and she has an older brother.[3] At a young age, she started singing with her Christian church choir.[3] Dahyun first attracted attention as a sixth-grader in elementary school with a dance at church named the "eagle dance" which was posted on YouTube.[2][4][5][6] Dahyun was recruited to become a trainee for JYP Entertainment after a talent scout saw her performance at a dance festival, and she subsequently trained with them for over three years.[1]
In 2015, Dahyun competed in Sixteen, a reality television show created to select the members of JYP Entertainment's new girl group.[6][7] Dahyun was subsequently selected to join Twice, as one of the nine successful participants in the competition.[6] In October 2015, Twice officially debuted with the release of their first mini-album, The Story Begins and the lead track "Like Ooh-Ahh".[8] In addition to regular singing, Dahyun serves as one of Twice's rappers, along with fellow group member Chaeyoung.[1][2][6]
In Gallup Korea's annual music poll for 2017, Dahyun was voted as the seventeenth most popular idol in South Korea.[9][10]
In November 2018, right-wing Japanese lawmaker Masaru Onodera criticized Dahyun for wearing a T-shirt made by Marymond, an organization that raises funds for helping comfort women, victims of sexual slavery by the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II.[11] In the aftermath, The Korea Times criticized J. Y. Park, the founder of JYP Entertainment, for failing to speak up in her defense.[12]
8. Oh My Girl's Seunghee
