According to Star News on December 14, 2PM Chansung took his last vacation while serving in the military on December 13 and will be discharged without returning to the military.
The move comes in line with the ministry's policy that soldiers who are on their final leave should not return to the military and be discharged from the military to prevent the spread of the COVID-19. He will remain in the military until January 5, 2021, the scheduled date of his discharge.
Chansung joined the army on June 11 last year and continued his military service as an assistant at the boot camp of the 5th Infantry Division in Gyeonggi Province after completing basic military training.
He will be the 4th members of the team to have completed his national defense duty and return to his fans' side.
Among the 2PM members, Ok Taekyeon, Jun.K and Woo Young completed their military service first, while Nichkhun, a Thai member, was exempted from military service in his home country thanks to a lottery conscription system.
While the last member, Junho, will be discharged from the military soon, expectations are rising for 2PM'S activities as a whole group.
Chansung debuted as a member of boy group 2PM in 2008. The guys were loved both at South Korea and abroad, making a number of hit songs, including '10 Out of 10' and 'Heart Beat'.
