Shin Hye Sun said, "The director had no special instructions for me, but he emphasized three things. Words, eyes, and height."
Shin Hye Sun plays Ahn Jung In - a lawyer of a law firm that is struggling to prove her mother's innocence (Bae Jong Ok) after being arrested as a murderer with makgeolli (rice wine).
The actress said, "Because the character is a lawyer, I have to defeat the bad guys with words. I looked in the mirror as if I was looking at those bad people and practiced a lot. It seems to be almost like I think."
Shin Hye Sun said, "I thought that being tall could be used like this," and added, "I didn't look up at the villains in the movie like actor Heo Jun Ho, and I was able to express the feeling of being discouraged."
She explained that Jung In's character is like 'Bulldozer'. Shin Hye Sun said, "I am a dragon-like child born from a stream (a time when heroes were created)." And "I'm a kid who went from a dark life to a better life. Such images are so amazing that I'm happy to act in such a role."
She then said, "The script is strange. Although it is a rural setting, it is not a normal warm, and quiet countryside. Jung In's hometown is a place where harsh and I just want to run away. The village setting is what makes me fascinated by this movie. "
The movie "Innocence" starring Shin Hye Sun, Bae Jong Ok, Heo Jun Ho, Hong Kyung, Taehang Ho will premiere on June 10.
