Actor Lee Joon may be returning to the small screen soon. He has been offered a role in Netflix's original series 'The Sea Of Tranquility'.
An official from Lee Joon's agency, Prain TPC, told StarNews on June 15 that "Lee Joon has been proposed to appear in 'The Sea Of Tranquility' and is considering it."
As a Netflix's original series, 'The Sea Of Tranquility' is a Si-fi horror story about a group of elite soldiers going to a research base abandoned on the moon, as the future Earth lacks water and food due to global desertification. The film is based on a series of short films of the same name directed by Choi Hang Yong, who received much attention at the 13th Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival in 2014.
Director Choi Hang Yong, who participated as a producer and directed the original film, will helm the film. A-list actors Gong Yoo, Bae Doona and Lee Joon Hyuk are all offered to star in the film.
If Lee Joon confirms his appearance, this will be his first comeback in about three years, after KBS 2TV's drama 'My Father Is Strange' before enlisting in the army in 2017.
Meanwhile, 'The Sea Of Tranquility' is scheduled to begin shooting in August.
