Chae Soo Bin will play So Nyeo, a bold young woman who joins the pirate ship, and EXO’s Sehun will transform into Han Goong, a pirate who specializes in archery. Kang Seob, who is Woo Moo Chi’s right-hand man and the righteous army’s underboss, will be played by Kim Sung Oh. Park Ji Hwan has been cast as Ah Gwi, the pirate sub-captain who follows Hae Rang.
Screenwriter Chun Sung Il of the first “The Pirates” film will return once more for the sequel, which will be directed by Kim Jung Hoon.
The first “The Pirates” film starred Son Ye Jin and Kim Nam Gil and gathered over 8.6 million moviegoers.
