Han Ji Hyun And Bae In Hyuk Try To Stay Serious For Their Awkward Hug In “Cheer Up”
SBS’s “Cheer Up” is a campus mystery rom-com about a college cheer squad whose glory days are long gone and is now on the verge of falling apart. Han Ji Hyun stars as Do Hae Yi, a rookie member of Yonhee University’s cheer squad Theia, who has a cheerful personality despite facing difficult circumstances at home. Bae In Hyuk stars as Theia’s often misunderstood captain Park Jung Woo, who is a firm stickler for the rules but is also a romantic at heart.
The video starts out in the team room where the actors play around with one another a lot between shots as their characters gear up for a fierce competition. A rock-paper-scissors competition between Jang Gyuri, Han Soo Ah, and Lee Eun Saem as well as Bae In Hyuk, Lee Eun Saem, and Hyun Woo Seok switching roles as juniors and seniors and much more make for a fun filming day.
Han Ji Hyun, Bae In Hyuk, Lee Eun Saem, and Kim Hyun Jin, being the dynamic and chaotic group of friends they are, bring lots of smiles and laughs to the set, breaking out of character to share silly jokes between one another.
And of course fans of the show can’t forget the iconic and slightly awkward hug between Bae In Hyuk and Han Ji Hyun with the making video showing them going through the scene multiple times in order to get it just right.
