Actress Lee Young Ae has stepped up to aid in the transportation of a young Russian victim of the Itaewon tragedy to her home country.

Previously, the father of one victim of the recent tragedy, Park Juliana (25), opened up to the media about the immense cost of transporting his late daughter's body to their home country. For Park's father, who works at a nursing home, the cost of the transportation (approximately $5,000 USD) was unbearable.
After hearing about the father's difficulties, Lee Young Ae has relayed intentions to pay for the transportation of Park's body through the Korea Welfare Foundation for the Disabled, where Lee Young Ae is currently serving as chair of the Culture and Arts advisory committee.
Meanwhile, foreign affairs ministries of various countries are currently considering paying for the funeral costs of foreigner victims from the Itaewon tragedy. Out of the 156 victims, 26 were foreigners from 14 different countries.
