On July 20, it was reported that recent Emmy nominee actor Lee Jung Jae, who has starred in international hits such as Netflix‘s Squid Game and director Park Hoon Jung‘s noir New World, is rumored to be in discussions with Marvel Studios.

If true, it will be interesting to see what character the actor would play and for which franchise.
Marvel Studios has become Hollywood’s penultimate movie franchise studio. According to Business Insider, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (also known as MCU) has earned over $25 billion worldwide to date.
The movie studio is not shy about its affection for Korea and its talent, having cast Ma Dong Seuk (also known as Don Ma) as Gilgamesh, a member of The Eternals.
Actress Claudia Kim was the first South Korean actor to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when she played Dr. Helen Cho in the studio’s Avengers: Age Of Ultron.
What’s more, Korean heartthrob Park Seo Jun has reportedly been cast in the upcoming Captain Marvel 2, although it still isn’t clear which character he will play.
And who can forget when the studio created near hysteria when it stated it would be filming this iconic Black Panther scene in the South Korean port city, Busan.
