The movie tells the story of Ki Heon (played by Gong Yoo), an intelligence agent who is in charge of protecting the first human clone, Seo Bok (played by Park Bo Gum) in secret, when he gets caught up in an unexpected situation. Director Lee Yong Hoo, who directed 'Architecture 101', helms the movie, which costs 16 billion won to produce.
Park Bo Gum plays the main role Seo Bok, the first human clone developed in secret. This is his first comeback to the big screen in five years, since the movie 'Coin Locker Girl'.
Earlier in 'Record Of Youth', Park Bo Gum was loved by viewers for his by role of Sa Hye Jun, who always try to achieve his dreams. Such a transformation of Park Bo Gum's acting is considered a point to watch in 'Seo Bok'. Gong Yoo, who works together with the young actor in the film, said he was surprised by Park Bo Gum's contrasting eyes, and recommended him to play a villain.
Gong Yoo said, "Many people know Park Bo Gum's kind eyes. But in 'Seo Bok', I have never seen a look that is so contrary to what I know well," raising expectations. He added, "We acted together, but Park Bo Gum's fierce eyes were attractive, so I told him to play a villain."
Our second young actor, Nam Joo Hyuk, who plays Nam Do San, a young entrepreneur who challenges to shine in the youth drama 'Startup', will also return to the big screen. He will play the main character of the movie 'Josee' and show off a deep melodrama acting.
The movie depicts the most shining moments between Josee (played by Han Ji Min) and Young Seok (played by Nam Joo Hyuk), who have never forgotten each other since the day they first met. Director Kim Jong Kwan, who directed the films 'Worst Woman' and 'The Table', will helm the film.
'Josee' is the Korean remake of the Japanese movie 'Josee, the Tiger and the Fish', directed by Isshin Inudo, who also has many fans in South Korea. With the film, Nam Joo Hyuk will once again meet Han Ji Min following the drama 'The Light in Your Eyes'. He will play Young Seok, who approaches Josee with honest feelings, and shows a more mature inner acting, ranging from fresh charms to deep emotions.
This means Nam Joo Hyuk will have met the audiences with three works this year alone. From Hong In Pyo, a Chinese character teacher in Netflix's 'The School Nurse Files', Nam Do San, a coding genius in 'Startup', and Young Seok in the upcoming 'Josee'.
