As a report stated earlier today, beloved Hollywood actor Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson are officially becoming proud citizens of Greece.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis, The prime minister of Greece took on his personal Instagram account a photograph of himself and his wife, Mareva Grabowski-Mitsotaki appearing at a meeting with Hanks and Wilson, who were having their new Greek passports on their hands.

Greece offered citizenship rights to Hanks, 64-year-old, Wilson, 63-year-old, along with their two children, in recognition of the help of the actor's in raising funds aided for the victims of a deadly wildfire near Athens in 2018.
Rita Wilson, an actress and producer, has Greek and Bulgarian ancestry and was raised Greek Orthodox. The Da Vinci Code star came to Greek Orthodoxy when he married Wilson. The couple frequently enjoys their sweet vacations together on the Greek island Antiparos, where they have a home there.
Tom Hanks posted in January to share with the public that he was "starting 2020 as an Honorary citizen of all of Greece!"
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Tom Hanks said that he takes this global issue under a very different perspective compared to his wife, Rita.
In March, the couple were showing some diagnoses with the virus and willingly quarantined themself in Australia until they were proved to be "clear" and safe enough return to the United States.
