Birds of Prey has been recorded as the worst opening of any DC Comics superhero movie, bringing in just US$201.9million throughout the world.
Sadly, this was even worse than the Green Lantern movie, which was considered as a failure in both movie's script and the revenue in theaters. Green Lantern was released in 2011 and still brought in US$219.9million in 2011.
In the DC Comic's female-led category, the 2017 movie Wonder Woman brought the revenue of US$821.8million at the worldwide box office.
The failure of Birds of Prey would be a big blow for actress Margot, who played the main character in the movie.
However, for Margot's fans, the Australian actress still has lots of upcoming projects in the future.
She and Christina Hodson, writer of Birds of Prey will continue to work together for a brand new role of Margot, as she was set to replaced Johny Depp in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
