Kelly Ripa is getting resourceful with her quarantine wardrobe, wearing her teenage daughter Lola’s clothes on TV.
The host, 49, Kelly Ripa has been dipping into her 18-year-old daughter Lola’s closet for new outfits to wear while filming “Live with Kelly and Ryan” from home.
On Tuesday, co-host Ryan Seacrest told Kelly Ripa that he was “running out of things to wear for the show” and shared that the sweater he was wearing still had tags on it, because he had recently ordered it to refresh his look.
“I’m now in my daughter’s clothes,” Ripa responded, dressed in a white blazer and graphic T-shirt. “It’s gone there.”
In addition to serving as her mom’s new stylist, Lola’s also helping Ripa get glam for the camera. “She watched a TikTok video on how to do hair by wrapping your hair around the bathrobe tie,” the TV host said. “And my daughter did my hair!”
Ripa added that she’s been spraying the roots of her blond hair to keep up her color, joking, “At this point it’s all spray because my hair is all gray.”
The mom of three has been open about the struggles she’s facing while stuck at home during the coronavirus pandemic. Last week, she shared through tears that two of her children won’t speak to her.
“I haven’t gotten to hug my parents. I want to hug my parents. I miss hugging my parents,” she said. “And my kids, like, won’t hug me.”
