Dakota Johnson is set to star in — and executive produce — Rodeo Queens, a mockumentary in development at Amazon Studios. The TV series landed at Amazon and is described as a mockumentary that follows an ensemble of Rodeo Queen hopefuls as they compete for the desired crown.
Christy Hall (I Am Not Okay With This) created the series and will serve as showrunner and produce alongside Johnson, Carrie Brownstein, Ro Donnelly and Elisa Ellis.
This is the second TV series role of Dakota Johnson. She previously starred in Fox's short-lived comedy series Ben and Kate, alongside Nat Faxon. Grey's Anastasia has starred in such features as The Peanut Butter Falcon, Bad Times at the El Royale, The Social Network and the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise.
Dakota Johnson is also one the celebrities spoken out throughout this hard time of America due to the national protests. She posted a quote of Nelson Mandela on Instagram and wrote, "It is mind bending, horrifying and completely unacceptable that any human being fear for their life or lose their life because of the color of their skin. Enough is enough."
