However, fans must be so thankful that the series' producer decided to expand the 10th season up to 6 episodes, as a gestures to fulfill the lack of zombies and exciting plot amid the past few months.

As reported, the long-running AMC drama will not come up with a brand new season in October, the show's runner Angela Kang unveiled that they had already made some additional episodes to the past season. The announcement was given out during the virtual Comic-Con@Home panel.

Not so long after, the premiere of the two-season event spinoff, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, will also appear on the screen.

In accordance with following the social distancing instructions, the television writer shared that the writer's room has been taking place remotely, but stayed tight-lipped about season ten's extra episodes.

However, Angela also shared that she and producers have no idea about the exact time to re-filming fully safe amid the COVID-19 spreading.

"Sometimes, the limits placed on you lead to a lot of creativity,"

"It's important to us that everybody feels comfortable when shooting and safe when they do it. If that means changing things up a little bit, that's not a huge burden to us."

Meanwhile, AMC released an extended clip of the beginning of the delayed finale, which we could see Beta (played by Ryan Hurst) leading a number of walkers against the Alexandrians, who have hunkered down in an abandoned hospital.
