According to information from Korean media, Joo Ji Hoon received an invitation to cast the male lead in the ‘Jirisan’ drama which is the most expected drama project next year.
Joo Ji Hoon will play Kang Hyun Jo, a new park ranger who has a secret that cannot be told. He was the lieutenant of a military academy.
The drama will air in the first half of next year and will begin filming this summer. Industry insiders said Joo Ji Hoon is adjusting the schedule to fit the filming process.
The drama is written by Kim Eun Hee famous for drama like ‘Signal’, ‘Kingdom’ and directed by director Lee Eung Bok, the names that ensured success because of the before drama’s famous as ‘Descendants of the Sun”, ‘Goblin’ and ‘Mr. Sunshine’.
Away from the lonely urban area, ‘Jirisan’ is set in a mysterious land on Jiri Mountain, revolving around the story of people going up the mountain for their own purposes, including someone who comes to die, who came to kill and who came to save people. The story depicts a picture of forest rangers belonging to Jiri National Park in extreme weather with heavy rain, strong winds, avalanche, and helicopters that cannot take off, they have to go around the mountain and carry people in distress ran for more than 5 hours.
