Madonna has been devastated after she losing her cousin and two friends to complications of coronavirus.

The Queen of Pop, 61, revealed the tragic news in an Instagram video called her quarantine diary as she told fans that three people close to her passed away within just one day.

She is seen sitting at a typewriter reading from a piece of paper in a dark room and begins by saying: "Quarantine diary, number nine. We can't always have a good day."

She goes on to say it's past midnight as she continues recording her video.

She shared: "The burning spear makes its way into the core of me and slithers down my leg, and I can concentrate on nothing except the idea of a fix, and I wonder what form that will take."

Madonna then revealed the tragic news.

Although she didn't mention if all the deaths were COVID-19-related, she did say her longtime friend, dance music executive Orlando Puerta, passed away from an upper respiratory infection.

Madonna went on to explain she had also lost her cousin and security guard's brother.

After sharing the heart-breaking news with fans, the iconic singer steered the conversation to her son, revealing he'd been mocking her long-running knee injury.

She explained: "If my son says I have a broken hip one more time I might implode."

It is unclear which of her two sons - Rocco Ritchie, 19, and David Banda, 14, - Madonna is referring to.

She continued: "If someone says you're broken so many times a day, you do start to feel that way."

The strange clip then pans into a black and white effect, showing Madonna holding a sculpture of a figure crumpled up on top of a ball.
She said: "This is me right now, okay. This is how I feel every day.

"This is how I sleep every night, this is how I take a bath, this is how I exercise," she said, "This is how I live right now, in case you were interested."
