YG Entertainment announced that following the release of BLACKPINK‘s first full length album in September, they will release solo songs by Rosé, Lisa and Jisoo sequentially.

YG Entertainment said in a fan notice on June 1 that, “Rosé and Lisa’s solo songs have already been completed, and Jisoo’s solo song is currently in the works.” Rosé, Lisa, and Jisoo’s solo songs are scheduled to out after the release of BLACKPINK’s first full-length album.

YG said, “We agreed with the members that BLACKPINK’s comeback as a whole group and the first full-length album are the most important,” adding, “The members’ solo songs will be released sequentially after BLACKPINK’s first full-length album released in September.”

YG also asked fans to understand that Rosé’s solo debut was somewhat delayed. YG explained, “In the case of Rosé, it took a long time because it was a plan to release an album with a number of songs rather than single songs from the beginning.”

Jennie was the first member of BLACKPINK to release a solo song – ‘SOLO’ in November 2018. The song was very popular at the time, topping the nation’s major music sites, real-time, daily and weekly charts. Overseas, she proved her global influence by topping iTunes in 40 countries, topping iTunes Worldwide Song Charts as the first Korean female solo artist to do so, and topping iTunes Top 10 in the U.S.

Through YG’s additional announcement, the solo project of the BLACKPINK members, which Jennie opened first, has been steadily prepared for more than a year, raising expectations for their musical perfection.

YG expressed their gratitude, saying, “We are giving all our support and efforts to help BLACKPINK grow into great artists with better music,” adding, “It is another most important thing to repay fans’ support.”

Finally, they wrote, “I would like to ask for your support and encouragement once again to the BLACKPINK members who are sweating and preparing for their comeback this month.”
