The SM Entertainment's boy group has become the third artist to reach this milestone on Melon, with the first and second being BTS and IU.

Melon is one of Korea's leading online music and music rankings website. The popularity of a K-Pop product as well as artist are shown more or less through this platform. The number of followers of an artist's Melon account is also one of the ways to show the fans' interest in that idol. Recently, the list of K-Pop artists who have reached the "big" follower milestone on Melon continued to have a new name. This time, it is the leading boy group from SM Entertainment - EXO.
Specifically, EXO has collected a total of 600,000 followers on the Korean music site. This impressive number helps EXO once again confirm their popularity in spite of having been in the business for more than 8 years. Moreover, EXO is also one of the only three K-Pop artists surpassing 600,000 followers on Melon. The remaining two names are BTS (with 705,778 followers) and IU (with 612,454 followers).

The fact that EXO has reached a new milestone on Melon shows that fans are still enthusiastically supporting the group's product as well as looking forward to their comeback in 2020. In the near future, EXO has no plan for a repackage yet, but the members' solo activities are still making EXO-L (EXO's fandom) excited. Typically, the group leader Suho is about to debut as a solo artist with his new album Self-Portrait. The album will be officially released on March 30.
