Boy group BTOB's Im Hyunsik has confirmed that he will join the army on May 11, same day as his fellow member Yook Sungjae. He also posted to express his feelings ahead of the enlistment.
Hyunsik wrote on May 6 through his SNS, "I am sorry to deliver this late announcement," adding, "I've spent time thinking about what kind of greeting I should say after I decided to join the army on May 11."
He continued, "I've been thinking more about Melody and BTOB these days. The most important thing I thought about was that I want to be together with BTOB and Melody as soon as possible and be together like we used to be. Everyone is having the same thought, so that thought will eventually become real."
"I have my strong members and the strongest love in the universe from Melody, so I'm honestly not worried about any thing," he said. "I'll be back as a great proud man for Melody and BTOB."
According to BTOB's agency Cube Entertainment, Hyunsik will start his mandatory military service and serve active duty on May 11. The agency said on May 6 that they will not disclose the location and time of the enlistment because Hyunsik himself wants to join the army quietly.
Hyunsik will join the military on the same day as BTOB's youngest member, Yook Sungjae. Earlier, on May 3, Yook Sungjae also announced on SNS that he will join the military on May 11.
BTOB is currently in hiatus as a series of members join the military. Their leader, Seo Eunkwang was the first to join the military and was recently discharged, while Lee Changsub and Lee Minhyuk are still serving in the military. Now, as Im Hyunsik and Yook Sungjae have confirmed their enlistment date, Jung Ilhoon will be the only one who hasn't join the army, with the exception of foreign member Peniel Shin.
