On the latest episode of SBS’s “Master in the House” the members tested their casting skills!
During the April 26 episode of the variety show, the cast experienced life as rookie producing directors (PDs) at SBS. Their final mission was to cast their own masters for the show by personally reaching out to celebrities they knew.
Shin Sung Rok kicked things off by calling actress Han Ji Min. After introducing himself as a new SBS intern, he said that he wanted to cast her for “Master in the House.” Although he tried to persuade her to the best of his ability, she immediately rejected him, saying, “How can I become a master?”
After their phone call, Han Ji Min sent him a text message with an emoticon of the KakaoTalk dog character, who is famous for its resemblance to Shin Sung Rok, being grabbed by the collar. She made everyone laugh by adding the words, “Hey, you punk!”
ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo called Yoo Hee Yeol, who joked, “This is Eun Woo’s first time calling me, and I think he’s a bit crazier than I thought.” Cha Eun Woo replied, “I apologize if I’m being rude,” and Yoo Hee Yeol reassured him that he wasn’t. The idol then added that he had tried to cast him because he thought it was unfortunate that many young people didn’t know about Yoo Hee Yeol’s music.
Yang Se Hyung set out to cast famous restaurateur and TV personality Baek Jong Won. When the comedian managed to secure a meeting with him, the SBS staff praised him for his skills.
Kim Dong Hyun then got the station director and chief producer (CP) excited by ringing up actor Ma Dong Seok. Kim Dong Hyun informed him that he was in the middle of filming “Master in the House” and asked Ma Dong Seok to become their master. The actor shared that he was currently resting before filming “The Outlaws 2.”
Ma Dong Seok went on, “I’ll do whatever you want, Dong Hyun, since I like you,” and Kim Dong Hyun said, “We want to cast you as an action legend master.” The actor replied, “Kim Dong Hyun is the true action legend, so I don’t think I’m needed.” Kim Dong Hyun continued the casting call by praising Ma Dong Seok for his famous arm wrestling skills.
Lee Seung Gi set out to cast director Bong Joon Ho, but his phone was off. The actor left a heartfelt message on the director’s voicemail, including a story about director Jang Joon Hwan, who previously appeared on the show.
