Instagram influencer Kris Schatzel caused an outrage after being spotted treating the Black Lives Matter protests like a photoshoot.

One model - Russian Instagram star Kris Schatzel - stood out in particular after she brought her photographer Mila Voyna along to have a full-on photoshoot among protesters.

The beauty was caught on video posing without a care in the world as protesters marched past, focusing instead on getting the perfect Instagram snap among the action.

The clip instantly went viral on social media, causing mass outrage and disgust.

Kris can be seen dressed in a black sheer gown with full hair and makeup done. In the clip, she's walking alongside other protesters while holding up a Black Lives Matter sign.

But instead of being there for good cause, she came out to the protest for other reasons - to get an trendy snap.

While some expressed their frustration with the Instagram star, others told her stop stop treating the protests like Coachella - the annual music festival in California.

One person wrote: "I swear some people think the protest is Coachella or a rock concert. They go there to hang out and flex on social media."

Another penned: "Ah the irony of a white woman profitting off a protest about black lives being exploited."

While a third added: "Oh no…. oh no. Look at her. Uh-uh. This is bulls**t."

The outrage has caused her to delete her Twitter account and put her Instagram page - which boasts 214k followers - on private.

After being called out for her actions, she wrote on her Instagram Story: "This is a huge misunderstanding!!! Later I will explain everything an apologise!"

"My intentions was never to disrespect the movement but to add to the movement the way that I know how. Peace."
