These K-Pop Groups Have the Most Days at No. 1 on MelOn's Daily Chart from 2014-2020

Since 2014, only a few K-pop groups who managed to have their songs peaked at No. 1 on MelOn's daily chart and last on that spot for more than 10 days from 2014 to 2020. Entering this Korean music chart is known to be the hardest and is one of the biggest feats idols could ever be achieved.

MelOn is the largest among the five major Korean music charts. It is widely used by the Korean general public, with more than 28 million users who can stream and download songs and music videos, as well as create custom ringtones. Landing on MelOn's chart is a big deal for K-pop artists as it is based on unique listeners, reflecting how popular a Korean act is in the country.

Below are the top 10 K-pop groups with the most days at No. 1 on MelOn's daily chart:

TWICE Has the Most Days at No. 1 on MelOn's Daily Chart

The Korean act that successfully claimed the most No. 1s on the Korean music chart is none other than JYP Entertainment's nine-member girl group, TWICE, which made their debut in 2015. The female act was able to spend a total of 99 days with nine songs. "TT" spent the most days at No. 1 with 26 days.

"TT" is followed by "Cheer Up" (24 days), "Knock Knock" (18 days), "Signal" (12 days), "Heart Shaker" (seven days), "Yes or Yes" (six days), "What is Love?" (three days), "Dance the Night Away" (one day), and "More & More" (one day). TWICE's first entry on MelOn's daily chart is "Cheer Up" in 2016.

BTS is the Second K-pop Group with Most No. 1s on MelOn's Daily Chart + YG Artists Take No. 3-5 Spots

Coming in second place is Big Hit Entertainment's BTS. The boy group only has three entries on the chart so far yet it spent the second-most days at No. 1, having 89 total days. Its hit song "Dynamite" claimed the top position on the chart 75 times, becoming the K-pop song with the most No. 1s on MelOn. The group's other tracks to enter the chart are "Fake Love," which is their first entry and had six days at No. 1, and "Boy with Luv" with eight days.

The third K-pop group with the most days at MelOn daily chart's No. 1 is BIGBANG with 75 days - 36 days of it were contributed by the group's 2015 hit "Loser" and 2018 hit "Flower Road," 18 days each. The boy band's other No. 1 MelOn songs are "FXXK IT" (16 days), "Bang Bang Bang" (12 days), "Let's Not Fall in Love" (six days), "If You" (three days), and "Zutter" (two days).

Claiming the No. 4 and No. 5 positions in the list of K-pop groups with the most days at No. 1 on MelOn's daily chart are two other YG idol groups, BLACKPINK and iKON, respectively. BLACKPINK achieved a total of 63 days, while iKON has 47. Like BTS, these two Korean acts only have three entries on the chart so far.

BLACKPINK's Whistle," had 12 days, "DDU-DU DDU-DU" had 30 days, and "How You Like That" had 21 days. iKON's "My Type" had six No. 1s, "Apology" had one, and the group's 2018 hit "Love Scenario" had 40.
