On July 1, 12 MN KST, K-Pop Radar updated their monthly chart to reflect data concerning K-pop idols' social media growth in the previous month.

BLACKPINK is the Female K-Pop Artist That Gained the Most YouTube Subscribers in June 2021

According to K-Pop Radar's monthly chart, BLACKPINK is the female K-pop artist that gained the most YouTube subscribers in June. The girl group reportedly gained over 200,000 new subscribers, bringing their end-of-the-month total subscriber count to 62.4 million.

Back on May 30, 2021, BLACKPINK was awarded their sixth Guinness World Record for being the most subscribed musical group on YouTube. They previously held the record for the most-viewed music video in the first 24 hours and most viewers for a video premiere for their "How You Like That" music video, but BTS soon broke those records.


Additionally, the "How You Like That" music video was the third most-viewed music video among female K-pop acts in June, amassing 28,486,950 new views. "DDU-DU DDU-DU" was the fourth most-viewed music video with 27,274,136, while "Kill This Love" was the fifth most-viewed music video with "24,977,589 views.

TWICE Ranks at Number Two in K-Pop Radar's Monthly Chart for YouTube Subscribers in June 2021

Taking the second-place spot is the JYP Entertainment representative girl group, TWICE. According to K-Pop Radar's monthly chart, the idol group gained over 100,000 new subscribers on YouTube, bringing their end-of-the-month total subscriber count to 11 million.

TWICE's music video for "Alcohol-Free" was the most viewed music video among female K-pop acts in June. K-Pop Radar announced that the music video garnered 115,934,848 views in June. The music video previously topped K-Pop Radar's "Weekly Top 10 Music Videos" chart for two consecutive weeks.


Additionally, back in 2016 and 2017, TWICE topped the list of South Korea's most popular music videos with "Cheer Up" and "KNOCK KNOCK," respectively.
