On Saturday, May 8, the Korean Brand Research Institute revealed the brand reputation rankings of K-pop boy groups for the month of May 2021. Some of the biggest K-pop acts including BTS, NCT, and SEVENTEEN made it to the list.

What are Brand Reputation Rankings?
Brand reputation rankings are determined through an analysis of various aspects such as consumer participation, community awareness, communication, and media coverage indexes.
The rankings show the positive and negative influence and the communication volume of a boy group, as well as the interest of the media and customer in them.
For the month of May, the Korean Brand Research Institute analyzed 51,242,292 of boy group brand big data that were collected from April 8 to May 8.
The data decreased by 0.45% compared to the April data of 51,474,174.
BTS is the Most Famous K-pop Boy Group in May 2021
First place on the brand reputation rankings for May 2021 goes to BTS (RM, Jin, J-Hope, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook).
The septet has a brand reputation index of 13,630,137, which is 14.48% lower than their April index of 15,938,202. It is the sum of a participation index of 1,793,968, a communication index of 3,766,812, a media index of 3,679,334, and a community index of 4,390,023.
NCT is the Second Most Popular K-pop Boy Group in May 2021
Coming in second place is NCT (Taeil, Taeyong, Kun, Johnny, Yuta, Jaehyun, Lucas, Doyoung, Ten, Mark, Winwin, Xiaojun, Jungwoo, Haechan, Yangyang, Hendery, Shotaro, Jaemin, Renjun, Jeno, Chenle, Sungchan, and Jisung) with a brand reputation index of 3,482,324, which fell by 2.59% compared to their April index of 3,574,966.
NCT has a communication index of 1,563,729, a media index of 718,681, a participation index of 169,312, and a community index of 1,030,602.
SEVENTEEN Announced as the Third Most Famous K-pop Boy Group in May 2021
SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Hoshi, Joshua, Wonwoo, Jeonghan, Woozi, DK, Jun, Mingyu, The8, Vernon, Seungkwan, and Dino) took third place with a brand reputation index of 3,215,092, which is 4.15% lower than their index of 3,354,205 in April.
The boy group has a media index of 584,319, a participation index of 323,136, a community index of 898,502, and a communication index of 1,409,135.
HIGHLIGHT Becomes the Fourth Most Famous K-pop Boy Group in May 2021
HIGHLIGHT (Yoon Doojoon, Lee Gikwang, Yang Yoseob, and Son Dongwoon) ranked fourth on the brand reputation rankings, having an index of 2,902,185. Compared to their April brand reputation index of 79,506, their May index increased by 3,550.27%, showing their incredible rise in fame.
The quartet has a communication index of 715,954, a media index of 966,903, a participation index of 419,232, and a community index of 800,097.
SHINee Revealed as the Fifth Most Popular K-pop Boy Group in May 2021
SHINee (Onew, Minho, Key, Taemin) maintains its position at No. 5 with a brand reputation index of 2,149,564. Their latest index fell by 7.33% compared to their April index of 2,319,673. The "Don't Call Me" singers have a participation index of 205,920, a community index of 566,241, a communication index of 764,962, and a media index of 612,441.

The TOP 5 Most Luxurious Idol Dorms, And The Groups That Inhabit Them
1. BTS in Hannam The Hill
BTS’s dorm is located in Yongsan, Seoul within Hannam The Hill, one of the most expensive apartment complexes in Korea. It is located in the heart of Seoul and strictly controls access for extra security.

Many of Korea’s most famous celebrities and wealthy businessmen such as PSY, Ahn Sung Ki, Lee Seung Chul, Han Hyo Joo, Choo Ja Hyun, Park Hyo Shin, the former president of Doosan Group, director of Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction and vice president of Kumho Tire also live in the apartment complex. BTS is known to be living in the apartment under a monthly contract that costs anywhere between $14,000~18,000 USD per month.

The apartment complex is equipped with a screen golf arena, swimming pool, gym, sauna as well as a cafe, study room and guest house. There are also various artworks on display throughout the apartment community center.

While the members have begun to branch out and get their own apartments, they still frequent their dorm, even filming their Run BTS episodes in it!
2. TWICE
TWICE’s dorm is a duplex apartment that is spacious enough for all 9 members. The dorm has been revealed through TWICE’s live broadcasts.
Instead of going out to get their hair and makeup done, they conveniently get everything done on their basement floor.
The TWICE members share 5 rooms with 2-3 people per room and there are a total of 6 (!) bathrooms.
3. BLACKPINK
Not only do they have a spacious living room…
…all BLACKPINK members have their own room, each with a patio!
4. fromis_9
Fromis_9 also has a considerably nice dorm, which is also a duplex-style apartment. Although they share rooms with bunk beds, the apartment is very nicely furnished and has a modern look.
They even have a large table, sufficient for the 9 members and a nice patio where they can enjoy a relaxing time in the sun!
5. ENHYPEN
ENHYPEN revealed their dorm through their reality show, and surprised fans with just how big it is. Their living room showcased a large, open area, perfect for seven members to gather.
Their bathroom included both a tub and a shower…
And their kitchen was sleek, modern, and included a table large enough to have all seven members eat together.
