The girl group’s music video for “Shut Down” surpassed 100 million views on September 21 at approximately 4:55 p.m. KST. This is about five days and three hours since its release on September 16 at 1 p.m. KST.
Last month, BLACKPINK’s pre-release single “Pink Venom” also became the fastest music video by any female artist in YouTube history to hit the 100 million mark by surpassing the count in just a little over a day.
“Shut Down” is now BLACKPINK’s 12th overall group music video with over 100 million views following “BOOMBAYAH,” “Playing with Fire,” “Whistle,” “As If It’s Your Last,” “Stay,” “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” “Kill This Love,” and “How You Like That,” “Ice Cream,” “Lovesick Girls,” and “Pink Venom.”
