But putting aside her visual, which is not a surprising matter to fans anymore, Lisa has had a lovely interview with the magazine in which she shared some sincere thoughts about those hard times she had gone through to now become one of the idols with the most influence in K-pop.

Lisa became the only person to have passed the audition in 2010. She signed as a trainee with YG Entertainment in April 2011 and after that, the little girl moved all the way from Thailand to Korea, on her own to follow her dream. Being a trainee for more than five years before debuting as the main dancer and lead rapper of BLACKPINK, the girl needed more than just "a dream" as motivation.

"At that time, everything was a competition - this was the same thing I told the trainees on Youth With You 2."

"On this show, the relationship between the trainees was competitive, which I personally think competition is a good thing. Only through this, will there be motivations to strive higher, there will be the positive drive of "I want to do better, I want to win".

"From another perspective, competition is what makes people work harder to fight for what they want, and grow through this, and make more improvements".

In terms of "competition", fans might not forget the time when Lisa became the strict mentor for Youth With You with such high standards for the trainees. However, all she wanted to do is to push them and make them better based on the true journey she'd been through.

"Not only me, but all members who went through the training period all went through tedious moments. Bringing with us the trust in ourselves and in our members, along with an optimistic "Fighting, we can definitely debut!" mentally, we supported each other to get to where we are today."

Curious about what's Lisa desire about her trainee days, it is such a surprise for us to know what she wanted.

"If I could go back in time with the memories I have now, I wish I could go back to the trainee days, and hope that I could have more happily enjoyed my time back then. In terms of time limit... if I can't do one week, just one day is okay too, haha!"

Seems like Lisa's trainee days were a rough time with that she hardly had has happy times playing around or making friends since they were "competitor" indeed. But because of that, we could have "Lisa" like the one we love and admire for now. Hope all best things in the future will come to this girl!
