On July 14th, the actor's agency HiSTORY D&C confirmed that Song Joongki had completed his self-quarantine and returned to filming. It's said that the actor had resumed filming for the movie 'Bogota' starting on July 13th.
Song Joongki previously had gone into self-quarantine after one acquaintance tested positive for COVID-19. Song Joongki was tested negative for the virus but he chose to isolate for two weeks as a precautionary measure.
Directed by Kim Sungje, and starring Song Joongki, Lee Heejun, and Kwon Haehyo as the main cast, 'Bogota' is a crime thriller set in Colombia. It tells the story of a young man in his 30s who emigrated to Colombia in the 1990s settling in a traditional market in Bogota. The movie began filming in Colombia in January of 2020 but, due to the pandemic, the cast and crew halted filming and returned to Korea in March 2020. The rest of the movie will be filmed in Korea.
