Actor Park Si Hoo has been recently offered a role in the remake of 'The Mentalist' and is considering it positively. It is said that only the final stage of coordination is left.
The role he was offered is the main protagonist, psychiatrist Patrick Jane. He is a person who helps the police investigation team track down mu.rd.er cases in order to catch the serial ki.ll.er who was responsible for his wife and daughter's de.a.t.h.
Park Si Hoo will plays the corresponding character of Patrick Jane, played by actor Simon Baker in the original film. He will lead the story by engaging in psychological warfare with criminals using his extraordinary memory.
The original 'The Mentalist' series was broadcast by CBS in the U.S. from 2008 to 2015, which was very popular then. The average number of viewers in the U.S. of the show reached 17 million. It also has a thick fandom in South Korea.
It is expected that the remake will make the best use of the original setting to make the drama interesting. Pyo Min Soo, a producer of KBS 2TV's drama 'The Producer' in 2015, and others will be in charge of the production.
