According to an exclusive media report on June 20th, an anonymous tipper accused Nam Joo Hyuk of school bullying for 6 years through both middle and high school. The tipper showed a picture of a yearbook as proof and claimed the actor was a part of a clique that bullied other classmates beating up, cussing out, taking their money, and more.
The tipper continued to claim that the actor bullied him throwing mechanical pencil refills at him and pulling out his chair. He added that the other victims who were much more severely bullied than him are currently seeing psychiatrists and avoiding watching TV due to the actor's recent popularity.
The tipper said he doesn't want anything else other than helping others who are in a similar situation as him.

On the other hand, Nam Joo Hyuk's agency Management SOOP, briefly responds to the issue. As obtained by a media outlet, the talent management said that they've heard the issue and are looking into the matter.
"We have heard of the article and are currently looking into [the legitimacy]" the agency said.
Over social media, fans expressed their support for the actor. Some slammed the tipper noting that he waited years to air accuse the actor while others think that it is just a false statement.
Others are wishing that the controversy will not blow up and affect his career.
