Kim Woo Bin is in talks to return to Kdrama world after a hiatus of 5 years. The Uncontrollably Fond actor is sitting out of the acting world due to his illness. However, last year, it was announced that he would be seen in a new Kdrama. But, no further updates were released. Now, in 2021, Kim Woo Bin is approached for another Kdrama. He is in talks to join the drama in the lead role in “Delivery Knight” (literal title). His agency released a statement as well. Ever since Kim Woo Bin’s agency announced his illness in 2017, his fans have been praying for his well-being. As thier prayers were heard, the actor gets into better form and is now fully recovered. Back in 2017, Kim Woo Bin got diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer. The 31-year-old South Korean star underwent radiation therapy and took some time off. Now, after his battle with cancer, he is all set to return to his professional world.
The new drama will be his return to the small screen. However, in 2020, he joined the cast of the movie “Alien,” which is yet to release.
Kim Woo Bin New Drama? In Talks To Star in Delivery Knight
On July 2, Kim Woo – Bin’s agency, AM Entertainment, announced that the actor had received an offer in the new Netflix drama, Delivery Knight. They released a statement saying, “Kim Woo Bin has been offered a role in the Netflix drama ‘Delivery Knight’ [working title], and he is currently in talks to appear.”
The upcoming South Korean drama is based on a webtoon of the same name. It will tell the story of a dystopian future where pollution has affected the entire town. And the only way to survive is by getting everything delivered. Undoubtedly, the plot sounds amazing. Kim Woo Bin has received the offer to play the male lead, delivery Knight, ‘5-8.’
The drama is full-fledged by Netflix. Hence, it will be available on a global platform reaching out to millions of viewers. Choi Ui Seok will be directing the show. He has previously helmed movies like Master, Cold Eyes, The World Of Silence, and more. “Delivery Knight” will mark his drama directorial debut. No release date is scheduled yet.

Woo-Bin’s Career and Personal Life
Kim Woo Bin, born Kim Hyun Joong, is a South Korean actor and model. Besides appearing in films and drama, he has also walked down runways at prêt-à-porter and Seoul Fashion Week collections until the present. The actor debuted as a model in 2009 and later made his way to the small screen. He is currently dating actress Shin Min Ah.

Apart from Netflix’s new Dystopian drama, he is also in talks to appear in Our Blues (literal title).
His silver screen portfolio includes films like The Con Artists, Twenty, Master, and Friend: The Great Legacy. Two new films of the actor are ready to release. Woo-Bin recently wrapped up filming for Alien. And another film he will be seen is Wiretap.
After announcing his illness, he took a two-year hiatus from work. He returned back to acting in 2019 as he finished his treatment plan for cancer. But, we still haven’t seen him on the screen. We hope to see him return healthy and happy to the Kdrama world soon.
