Live events continue to take a hit around the world as the Coronavirus pandemic intensifies.

Last week, JBJ95 announced they were postponing their North American fan meeting tour. The tour had been scheduled to start in May.

ATEEZ’s fan party event, originally planned for April 10, was rescheduled to May 29 to comply with the government’s social distancing guidelines. Fans who have been selected for the event will be individually informed on May 22 via text or email.

MONSTA X’s fan sign event, in partnership with TWOTUCKGOM, was indefinitely postponed. Furthermore, the Seoul leg of MONSTA X’s world tour, originally scheduled for May 9-10 at the KSPO Dome, has been canceled.

On April 8, it was announced that the Hip Hop Player Festival 2020 was being indefinitely postponed. The lineup for the festival had included Jay Park, Beenzino, Changmo, Giriboy, Zico, Crush, BewhY, and more. It had originally been scheduled for April 25-26.

On the same day, SEVENTEEN announced that they were canceling their first Japanese dome tour, originally scheduled for May 9-28.

Live events are not the only entertainment industry activities to be affected by the pandemic. Many films have pushed back their premiere dates or put current productions on hold. TV shows are filming without live audiences and in some cases, have halted production entirely. Some albums and comebacks are also being delayed.

Last week, it was revealed that Han Hyo Joo and Byun Yo Han’s upcoming Japanese film, “The Sun Does Not Move” (literal title), had pushed back its premiere date, originally scheduled for May 15. The film also stars Japanese actors Fujiwara Tatsuya and Takeuchi Ryoma.

The tvN variety show “The Great Escape 3” has decided to halt filming for three weeks. Instead, it will broadcast a special episode on April 12 and a new variety show “Cash Back” in the two weeks after that. As the concept of the show involves gathering many cast and staff members into an enclosed space, it was determined to be high-risk for the spread of the novel coronavirus.

2PM’s Jun.K announced that his Japanese solo album, originally scheduled for a May 13 release, will now be released on June 10. The change in album release dates reflects the changes made to his Japanese tour dates. In addition, some events planned for the album’s release have also been postponed.
