BLACKPINK has set another impressive record!

On October 7, YG Entertainment cited Hanteo Chart, revealing that BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM” reached approximately 590,000 sales in just one day since the group’s release of their physical album on October 6. This means that BLACKPINK has broken IZ*ONE’s record in which 389,334 copies of “𝐎𝐧𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐲” were sold in its first week.

YG Entertainment explained, “Considering that the number of albums exported to the United States and Europe is not included in the total, the actual number of album sales is expected to be even higher.”

Previously, BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM” surpassed 1 million stock pre-orders, which is the highest number of stock pre-orders ever recorded for a K-pop girl group, and it also makes BLACKPINK the first Korean girl group to surpass 1 million stock pre-orders.

The number of stock pre-orders is the amount of album stock that is produced prior to the album’s release. This number is the estimated demand calculated based on various factors, including the number of albums that were pre-ordered by fans.

“THE ALBUM” also reached 340,000 units in pre-orders from the United States and Europe, and fans are looking forward to the album’s performance on Billboard and the United Kingdom’s Official Charts.
