TWICE, considered as today's "Nation's Girl Group," and BLACKPINK, dubbed as the "Biggest Girl Group in the World," established their name as the top-tier girl groups in K-pop with their recently released full-length albums.

Starting with TWICE, the nine-member group released their third full-length album "Perfect World" in Japan on July 28.

Upon its release, it climbed up to No. 1 on the Oricon's "Daily Album Chart" and remained on that spot until July 31.

As of the August 9, it fell two places to third place (counter until the 7th). Nevertheless, their album is still in demand.

Aside from TWICE's album, their album's Japanese tracks "Better," "Kura Kura, " and "Promise" and more also gained massive love from Japanese fans, including the album's title track with the same name.

Soon after its pre-release on June 30, it reached the top of local music charts such as Line Music, heralding a success.

BLACKPINK also dominated the Oricon chart with the Japanese version of its first full-length album "THE ALBUM" released on August 3.

It immediately rose to No.1 of Oricon's "Daily Album Chart" upon its release, falling to No. 2 as of the 7th.

However, BLACKPINK also reigned in other charts including Apple Music Top Albums – cementing its consistent popularity.

SHINee, known as "Princes of K-pop" and their enormous popularity in Japan, flaunted their unrelenting power as they swept various records on the Oricon Chart.

With their new mini-album "SUPERSTAR," dropped on July 28, it skyrocketed at the Oricon "Daily Chart."

As of Tuesday, "SUPERSTAR" topped the Oricon "Weekly Album Chart." It is the fourth top of the chart, with its 3rd and 4th regular albums and best albums ranked at the top from 2014 to 2018 – showcasing Japanese fans' loyalty to SHINee.

And last but definitely not least, BTS, or the "Biggest Boy Group in the World."

The Japanese album "BTS, the Best" (THE BEST), released in June, was certified by the local record association for the first time this year. BTS is the only artist as well to receive a million-seller certification this 2021 from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.
