ITZY is the Latest K-Pop Girl Group To Chart on the Billboard 200

ITZY is the latest K-pop girl group to chart on the Billboard 200. Their latest extended play, "Guess Who." entered the Billboard 200 chart at number 148, making it the girl group's first-ever appearance on the list.

It is the fifth highest-peaking album by a Korean female artist to break into the chart. ITZY is the eighth female K-pop act to debut on the chart.

Additionally, "Guess Who" ranked at number 164 on the Rolling Stone Top 200. The extended play's title track, "Mafia in the Morning," ranked at number 56 on Spotify's Global Top 200 Chart. This is ITZY's highest-charting song on Spotify's chart.

Itzy is a South Korean girl group formed by JYP Entertainment, consisting of members Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna. The group debuted on February 12, 2019, with the release of their single album, It'z Different. The group's commercial success has led to them earning several new artist of the year awards, including Rookie of the Year at the 34th Golden Disc Awards and Best New Female artist at the 2019 Melon Music Awards and the 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards.

LOONA is the 7th Female K-Pop Artist to Chart on the Billboard 200

LOONA's 2020 extended play, "[12:00]," debuted and peaked at number 122 on the Billboard 200 chart. It is the fourth highest-peaking album by a Korean female act on the said chart.

LOONA is the seventh female K-pop act to break into the chart. Additionally, they are the first artists from a small to mid-sized South Korean entertainment company to appear on the chart.

Further, "[12:00]" appeared on the Billboard US Heatseekers Albums chart at number one, the Billboard US Independent Albums Chart at number 23, and the Billboard US World Albums

Loona is a South Korean girl group formed by Blockberry Creative. The group was introduced to the public through a pre-debut project which began in October 2016, where each of the twelve members were revealed in a periodic fashion by releasing a promotional single over the following eighteen months. They debuted as a full ensemble with the extended play, [+ +] (2018), supported by the lead single "Favorite" and the title track "Hi High".

BLACKPINK is the Highest-Charting K-Pop Girl Group on the Billboard 200

Not only does BLACKPINK have several entries on the Billboard 200 Charts, but they are also the highest-charting girl group on the list.

In Oct. 2020, BLACKPINK's first-ever full-length studio album peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. They previously held that same record in 2019 with "Kill This Love," which debuted at number 24 on the Billboard 200.

BLACKPINK's first Korean-language extended play, "Square Up," was the YG Entertainment's first entry on the Billboard 200. At the time, it debuted at number 40. It was the highest-charting album by a Korean girl group at the time of its release.
