K-Pop fans eagerly anticipated KAMP LA 2022 as it boasted an incredible lineup for its two-day concert, including GOT7‘s BamBam, iKON, Jeon Somi, EXO‘s Kai, LAPILLUS, P1Harmony, Super Junior, and Taeyeon on the first day. The lineup for the second day includes aespa, Chung Ha (also known as Chungha), Epik High, MOMOLAND, MONSTA X, T1419, and Zion.T.

As fans waited for updates from artists attending the event, many were disappointed to find out that several of the acts scheduled to perform had visa issues once they arrived at the airport in Korea. The first to give an indication of the issues going on was BamBam who posted a simple tweet that implied that he would not be able to fly.

After announcements from other organizations, KAMP finally shared that six artists, including some of the biggest headliners, such as Kai, BamBam, Somi, and Taeyeon, will be unable to perform. Instead, 21419 and Momoland will perform twice.

Fans were understandably upset as KAMP also did not share information until a few hours before midnight California time, and would only offer a short window for refunds.

Now the line-up has gotten even smaller as MONSTA X announced they will not be attending the festival nor any of their scheduled events due to issues with visas that KAMP’s organizers were allegedly supposed to secure for the artists.

Hello, this is Starship Entertainment.

This is an announcement regarding the cancellation of MONSTA X’s appearance at ‘KAMP LA 2022’ and other scheduled events in the US (October 16-17 2022 United States local time).

Although MONSTA X fully cooperated with the organizers of ‘KAMP LA 2022′ to receive performance related visas, including providing all necessary documents in advance, we ended up with no visa approval.

Our company was made aware that our statement could be released only after the release of the organizers’ own announcement,
but we decided that we could not delay our statement any longer for the fans who are waiting.

Due to the same reason, iHeart Radio LIVE with MONSTA X which was originally scheduled to be on Oct 17, is also inevitably canceled.

Please understand that many other artists scheduled to appear at ‘KAMP LA 2022’ have also not received visa approval. We were unable to inform you earlier about the situation due to delays from the organizers.

We would like to sincerely express our gratitude to MONSTA X fans who always send us their unconditional love and support.

KAMP has not yet announced this additional change in the schedule, nor if refunds will be offered for the second day of the event only.
