The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!

On March 10, the RIAJ announced that BTS’s 2020 Japanese album “Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~” had earned an official million certification for over 1 million units shipped. According to the RIAJ’s certification thresholds, albums are certified gold at 100,000 units shipped, platinum at 250,000, and million at 1,000,000.
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM’s Japanese debut single “FEARLESS” received an official double platinum certification for over 500,000 units shipped, making them the first K-pop group in history to go double platinum with a Japanese debut single.
Finally, NCT DREAM’s Japanese debut single “Best Friend Ever” and Stray Kids’ first Japanese studio album “THE SOUND” were both certified platinum for over 250,000 units shipped since their respective releases in February.
