K-Pop idols constantly defend each other, and there have even been moments where they have defended each other from bullies. Here are 5 of these moments.
1. BIGBANG Taeyang defending G-Dragon from some bullies
BIGBANG G-Dragon went to private schools all his life until he got to high school. G-Dragon’s first experience in public school wasn’t a good one, as he got bullied on his first day. During class, a lot of people paid attention to G-Dragon since he was a celebrity.
Once class ended, some bullies came up to G-Dragon and started bothering him.
While G-Dragon did his best to ignore them, this only made the bullies angry.
Thankfully, G-Dragon was attending the same school as Taeyang. When Taeyang saw G-Dragon was getting bullied, he pushed the bullies away!
2. BLACKPINK Jennie standing up for Lisa
At the 33rd Golden Disc Awards, BLACKPINK Lisa received many harsh comments from malicious netizens. Most of the comments targeted Lisa’s Thai background, and some even said that Lisa “only looked attractive due to Korean makeup.”
Many people came to Lisa’s defense, including Jennie. Not long after the 33rd Golden Disc Awards, BLACKPINK had a concert in Lisa‘s hometown, Bangkok, Thailand. In front of all the fans, Jennie told them that they should be proud of Lisa and that the members will take care of her. Many believe that Jennie’s comments were in reference to the negative comments Lisa received at the 33rd Golden Disc Awards.

3. The MAMAMOO members glaring at Moonbyul’s high school bully
MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul recently shared a story about her encounter with her high school bully. When Moonbyul was in high school and trying to become a singer, she got bullied for it.
"When I was in my third year of high school, I went around auditioning because I wanted to become a singer. But I was bullied for it."

What made it even worse was that these bullies were once Moonbyul’s friends.

Fast forward a few years, and Moonbyul unexpectedly met one of her high school bullies while she was with her fellow MAMAMOO members. The members knew about the bully, so they decided to glare at her.
"We ran into one of the bullies while I was working. She pretended not to know me. She was living a tough life. And my fellow members knew the story, so they all glared at her. I felt like I could depend on them. I thought, ‘These are my friends.’"

4. Former VIXX member Hongbin defending N
In 2018, VIXX’s N received some backlash after some fans started speculating that N would be holding a solo fan meeting in Japan on his birthday, which he had done every year. “Fans” left comments such as, “If you love all your fans, then have a birthday party with all of your fans.”
Hongbin, who was still a member of VIXX at the time, sent out a tweet that many believe was him defending N from these “fans.”

5. BTS’s rap line defending each other from rapper B-Free’s comments
BTS Suga and RM were active as underground rappers before they debuted in BTS. Suga and RM eventually decided to become K-Pop idols, and rapper B-Free was not a fan. During BTS’s earlier days, B-Free criticized RM and Suga for their decision to become idols.
"You guys (Suga and RM) could have taken the road towards becoming rappers, but you couldn’t beat that temptation. Is BTS’s music hip hop? Is wearing makeup on stage like a girl hip-hop?"

ARMYs (BTS’s fandom) were quite upset after B-Free made these comments, as they viewed them as him disrespecting idols. BTS also felt that the comments were a bit much, so the rap line (RM, Suga, and J-Hope) decided to release a diss track targeting B-Free, and they didn’t hold back!
"Overspending on my pens that are more in number than your (B-Free) fans, if I go all in and shoot, it’s a goal in. Goal in, I’m ballin, when I hear your rap, I’m about to throw up."

While B-Free eventually apologized to BTS and ARMYs, it was many years after he made the comments.
